The Blaydon RoomThis is the North East’s 2ndMuscle Group which will be held on the 27th November at Gateshead Civic Centre, Regent Street, Gateshead, NE8 1HH. There is full wheelchair access, and plenty of free parking. A map of the venue can be accessed here:
http://www.gateshead.gov.uk/DocumentLib ... treMap.pdfI am delighted that Dave Anderson, MP for Blaydon and Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Muscular Dystrophy and related neuromuscular conditions has kindly agreed to join us to answer any questions you may have and to discuss care services in the North East region.
At the meeting we will be discussing what we can do next to add to the pressure on the local NHS. There will also be the chance to develop local campaigns on specific issues that matter to you where you live – for example, the provision of ongoing physiotherapy or the availability of respite care.
Please come along and share experiences and advice with other families living with muscle disease and if you have friends and family who you think would like to come please bring them with you to the meeting. Since the last Muscle Group, we have been continuing to fight for everyone to have access to specialist neuromuscular care.
